As for storage, we have a rule in our house, if an object is brought in, then one must exit, so it keeps me only bringing in the stuff we can't live without. Tulips are my favorite flower as well (lived in the Netherlands for 3 years) and my cat's name is Tulip. I always feel that you can never go wrong with white. I have 12 white plates that I use all the time, and they can be dressed up on special occasions by what I have on the table with them.
