Filson Love

March 12, 2014

20140312-061046.jpg Since 1897, Filson has been making stellar goods right here in Seattle. I have been a Filson fan since I moved here almost 30 years ago. The first thing I purchased was a hat, which still looks as good today as it did when I first bought it. Filson stuff is durable and timeless. One of the more satisfying things about my upcoming book is I was able to do the photography for it. I bonded with all my new camera equipment, but never really loved the black camera bag that I kept it all in. It looked like a camera bag! This is where the above bag enters the picture. Filson makes amazing bags. Really some of the best quality and some of the best prices. This bag just spoke to me on my last visit to their flagship store as a new camera bag. Tons of compartments for all camera related goods, as well as files and wallet and keys. All looking quite stylish in the process, I might add. Check out the FILSON website here if you are unfamiliar with them. It has that rugged, preppy, incredibly well-made thing going on I really love.

Just a quick word about when I write about a product, a brand, a restaurant, or particular goods (aside from the things I feature from Watson Kennedy)–I have never made a penny off of writing about something I like on my blog. I share my likes with you all because if I really like something, I like sharing it. If this ever becomes the case, I would certainly preface it. I am not knocking those that do, I just wanted to be clear with how things have rolled up to this point. Bottom line, I think Filson rocks!
A happy, happy middle of the week to you all. Ted
