Browne Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon

December 14, 2016

Wine Wednesday is a nice & hearty Cabernet Sauvignon from Walla Walla, right here in Washington State.  For those of you around the globe who enjoy wine and are given the chance to try some red from this region, do.  Do, big time. This bottle was a gift last month from my friend Jackie who I have known since I first moved to Seattle in 1986 to be a tennis pro at The Seattle Tennis Club.  Our birthdays are both in November, two Sagittarius, so the four of us celebrated at Spinasse and this yummy red was my treat.

From the maker:  Inky red, almost black in color, this classic Cabernet Sauvignon is heavily concentrated with ripe cherry aromas and dark fruit flavors, backed by vanilla oak notes. Layered with texture that belies its silky smooth tannins, this wine’s perfectly balanced alcohol and bright, clean acidity make it a perfect companion for red meat and savory dishes. Blend: 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot
