Mrs. Meyer’s Iowa Pine

20141114-070319.jpg Our big shipment of the limited edition seasonal scent, Iowa Pine, from Mrs. Meyer’s arrived yesterday. The sun playing all sorts of tricks when I was trying to nab the photo–apologies for it being on the darkish side. It has a moody feel, which was not intended for such joyful goods. I could not wait to break into the boxes and put a bottle of each at the sink at the shop. Major happiness. Bottles came home too, and are now ensconced at the kitchen sink at the ready. This scent really is pretty darn perfect for the season. It smells like you ran your hands along a few branches of a divine Christmas tree. Growing up in the Midwest, this scent just harkens me back. I wish this scent were available all year long, but it is not, so we covet it while we can. Both shops are well-stocked. Washing your hands & doing dishes is a routine that can be elevated by using good product. This goes pretty close to the top of the list. Simple stuff done incredibly well.

Happy Friday all!
From sunny, crisp & chilly, oh so beautiful Seattle,
Ted

Mrs. Meyer’s Iowa Pine

20130920-054334.jpg Just arrived yesterday at WK, cases of Mrs. Meyer’s limited edition seasonal scent, Iowa Pine. I thought the timing of this with Autumn soon to begin was spot on. We ran out last year quite early, so we ordered tons more this year to keep all the Iowa Pine fans happy. This stuff and scent is amazing!

20130920-054806.jpg New this year is a fab candle in a jam jar looking container. This will be just the sweetest little host/hostess gift.

20130920-054944.jpg We have carried Mrs. Meyer’s since it was first started many years ago by Monica Nassif, who is a Watson Kennedy customer. She named the company after her mother, Mrs. Thelma Meyer. The company has grown to great success, and I love that we have been part of it from the beginning, stocking my favorite scents they create along the way. Apple, Parsley, Rosemary, Geranium, Basil, Lemon Verbena–all fill our shelves throughout the year.

20130920-055636.jpg But the Iowa Pine holds a special place in my heart, bringing back fond memories of my Midwestern upbringing. The scent so green, so pine-y, so good. Both shops will carry this, and it will soon be added to our website. A fab gift, but it might be hard to part with once you bring it home.

Happy Friday all. Was that moon just the most amazing sight last night?!!
