Wall Space
July 5, 2011
It indeed was a full day of display yesterday, as my body creaks and my muscles moan as I get up from bed. Tired, a good tired, from a long day of moving, switching things around, hanging artwork, changing out lamps, and doing all the small tasks to get the shop put back in tip top shape.
My store in the Pike Place Market has glass windows on all 4 sides, with a stellar view of the water and Market activity to the West. Only challenge, is there is really little to no wall space. With the expansion of the shop down the street, I thought the Market shop could use a little freshening too.
We had a platform built so we could hang more artwork. It also allows for a window display, but instead of having it face out, I thought it would work better for the space to have it face inward. It will allow customers to walk right up to it, and to look at the product closely. I am so happy with how it all turned out. Please stop in next time you are in the area and let me know what you think.
Now off to the island for a few days of rest & relaxation, before we tackle the finishing touches of the new space. I think I see a Bloody Mary in my near future…
