On a RollJuly 20, 2011
The 10 to 12 hour days of moving, rearranging, displaying, moving some more, unpacking, and then displaying more is almost complete. It is looking like this Friday the new shop space with be opened! All the permits are now complete, the temporary wall will be taken down late Thursday eve, and the finishing touches are near. Here is a look at a bit of what took place yesterday.
Adding more to the black & white area, the Diptyque looks fab in the new space, as well as all the milk glass lamps I have been acquiring and having re-wired.
Adding to the clubby feel of the back space, the back wall has 2 very large black cases that really ground the space. I had artist Amy Duncan decoupage the backs of the shelves with vintage papers from books she thought had a Watson Kennedy vibe.
Vintage wood candlesticks from England, as well as other goods that help tell the story of a life well lived.
And because I love a theme, our shell section has expanded and works well with all the natural tones.
If you are out and about on Friday, please stop in. I would love to see you, and show you around.
