Dinner Plate Dahlias

My stroll thru the Market yesterday morning was cut a bit short as I was running behind and needed to get the shop open at 10. It was a beautiful day, so even a shortened visit was delightful. The dinner plate dahlias are what caught my eye. The name given for the size of the head of the flower. These lovelies are huge and look great in a single stem container, and they are over the top when mixed together. The Bodacious variety is my favorite, as the flowers are tousled, curled and twisted. The red mixed with the yellow energizing–they just make me happy looking at them.
