Oh boy, this was a good batch. This round of dahlias so much fun to play with. Perfectly sized dinner plates in the softest touches of pinks and creams. I couldn’t wait to get home and arrange them. Editing in flower arranging is just as important as it is in designing a room or a shop vignette or a tabletop. What you take away just as vital as what stays. The Wendy Borger vase the perfect vessel to hold these dreamy blooms. The warm spell we are getting not kind to these delicate babies in particular, but the memory of them will stay. The dahlias not loving this run of warm weather so enjoying the heck out of them as much as possible. Supper with old friends last night at home who we have known for close to 35 years. Nothing like breaking bread with those you love along with a good catch up. #Friendship

We have been collecting these beautiful hand painted vintage frogs from McCoy for a few years now for Hawthorne. Most times I leave just as they are with nothing in them and scatter about the dining table. Other times I will float a bloom in opening. Yesterday was a full day of getting out vintage we have been finding these past few months. In the assortment were a few of these charming frogs. As often is the case, our personal collection grows and grows, so I want to start selling like pieces that are found, as want to spread the love. These will soon be up on the website and they are now hopping around in shop displays. At #WatsonKennedy

I love dotting these extraordinary dahlias around the apartment in single stem vases all over the place so they catch your eye as we move from room to room. Absolutely giving peonies a run for their money. #DahliaLove At #TheGainsborough
