A Valentine Window Times 2February 11, 2012
I like to ease into Valentine windows shortly after the New Year, replacing the Holiday windows. Often the bones of the displays can stay in place. It just takes a bit of layering of new goods to be swapped out and refreshen. With a Valentine window, I just keep adding throughout January, and really turn up the volume when February comes around.
Yesterday was the day to give the final layer, as we head into the final stretch. Out came the Hugo Guinness portraits, and in went the new quote signs I adore.
Olivia put her creative skills to work, and cut out tons of hearts in varying sizes out of vintage sheet music. They worked perfectly scattered about both windows, as well as throughout the shops.
The big wire heart has been a winner in the window throughout. Yesterday, we added goods that we thought spoke of the 14th.
Heather unpacked some amazing new tables yesterday that will become the bones of the next round of windows. My creative juices are flowing. Never a dull moment–I can hardly wait!
