CMS Columbia Valley Red

20121107-071659.jpg Wine Wednesday is all about an easy drinking red wine as we head into the chillier months. CMS Red is produced by the Hedges family here in Washington State. You might recall a post about the Sauvignon Blanc I wrote awhile back that they also make. These folks make easy drinking wine. This is a blended red, using Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah–hence the CMS name. Lovely to sip while you read a book, but equally nice to serve with a simple dinner. This is also a very affordable wine, so it makes it an easy choice when you are hosting large dinners or a festive gathering.

I try to stay away from politics on my blog, but I would like to mention 2 things. What a relief to finally see an end to all of those negative political tv commercials. What an incredibly sad use of funds when there are so many people who go hungry every day in our country. And to end on a nice note, I am so proud to be a Washingtonian today. Equality for all should be just that–equality for all.
