A Moment in Time

I walked into the living room like I do each morning to first turn on one of the lights. There they were. Those 2 buds that were opened just ever so slightly the night before so I could pluck the stamens from the bloom, had just exploded. They were so poetic and still–welcoming me to the start of the day. The stillness bringing calm. A peaceful moment in time before the start of a busy and full day.
