Spring Valley Vineyard Uriah

This is wine with a history. The Wine Wednesday pick is a bottle we first had many years ago, at a dinner where we met the fabulous couple responsible for creating this wine. The Uriah blend is a bottle of wine we are big fans of that we have on very special occasions with fond memories of the many times over the years we have enjoyed a bottle and of sweet memories of meeting them.

From the Walla Walla Valley, this is 100% Spring Valley Estate bottled. This is a rarity, as often times grapes are bought from numerous places to create a blend. It is aged in French oak for 18 months. The divine blend is 48% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec. Creating a wine that is truly memorable. From the vineyard’s site, “The nose on our Uriah exudes complex layers of herbs and almond paste. On the palate, it is very creamy with bright flavors of summer fruit and the fine tannins lead to a spectacularly long finish.”
