Hawthorne Revisited

June 13, 2017

Time just seems to fly by and we always hit the ground running when we return to Seattle, I like to do a post a week or so after to remember some of the moments of the stay. The petite farmhouse (which is how it was billed in the listing when we bought it, which still makes us laugh as it is by far the largest home we have ever had the pleasure/honor to own) in the Hudson Valley feels more like our home more and more each visit, which is exactly what we were going for. More an extension of our daily lives where we ‘live’ part of the time, more than just a vacation house, where we feel connected the moment we arrive. When we are there, Seattle is still very much a part of us, and when we are in Seattle, we most certainly feel a connection to New York. I have said it many times before, we feel incredibly fortunate for this experience and don’t take it for granted for a second. I am also, pleased as punch to have you all along on this journey. Here are a few moments/shots of how the house is shaping up.
