Slow and Steady

October 30, 2019

We arrived back to Seattle last eve. Bailey had me up at 4:30 this morning so we are hitting the ground running. Oh my gosh, my ‘to do’ list is a mile long. Lots of fun stuff in store these next few months. I was scrolling through photos a bit ago thinking about what to write this morning and came across this one. I titled this Slow and Steady as that is how I think good design happens. You collect over time, things start coming together. We have now had the house for more than 6 years (which kind of blows my mind away–time flies!) This image is a corner in our bedroom. Bit by bit it is starting to take shape. The umbrella/walking stick faux bois stand a new addition. This stay we found an old walking stick to add to it. On the top of the dresser I hand carried a John Derian decoupage tray with me on the flight to New York. I had been coveting it at the Market shop for months. The old English bottle holding the hydrangea bloom found on our last stay. Slow and steady, the corner is starting to take shape. Layering and collecting takes time. Enjoy that journey. Your eyes and your heart and soul will thank you.
