Repetition

Use of the same item over and over again can be soothing to the eye. It is a design element I reach for often in both the shops and at home. Be it a matching row of bowls on a kitchen shelf, same hued towels in the bathroom or shells running down a rail–all make for a pleasing tableau. I like to think of it as strength in numbers.
