Tradition is something we hold near and dear. I am pleased as punch to announce our first of the season Holiday Open House this Saturday at our First & Spring shop from 11 to 5. Music will fill the air and we will be wrapping away. The shelves are brimming with all sorts of treats to give. Safety is paramount, with masks required and hand sanitizing as you enter, along with social distancing while you meander. We are limited to the number of folks in the space at a time, so our snazzy buzzer at the door will be used to let you in.
While we won’t be able to serve bubbly this year, we are offering a raffle for one of our $250 Holiday Care Packages. If you can’t attend, as I know so many of you live far away, please head to our Watson Kennedy page on Instagram to enter the raffle. Good luck!
One of my favorite traditions of the year is having our friend, the artist Jeanne McKay Hartmann join in the fun painting away during the festivities–she will be joining us from 1 to 3. The piece she creates each year in honor of the event has become a keepsake for many who have started a collection. These make the most lovely gifts. Above is the piece she painted this year. A pear topiary, I adore it! 4 by 6 in size, you can even customize it with initials to make it even more personal. Jeanne will paint one for you that day but we also take pre-orders for those of you from afar as we are more than happy to ship one or many to you. Just send me an e-mail to email@example.com and we can get the ball rolling. A text works too at 206.617.9678. Price for each painting is $75.
While the holidays this year will be a bit different, we are doing our darndest to make the ‘new normal’ seem as close to the ‘old normal’ and as special as possible. Sending you all tons of love as we kick-off this festive season!
