Tamellini Soave 2019

July 7, 2021

Wine & Dine Wednesday an Italian wine that we are selling at the shop that we have also been thoroughly enjoying out at the beach of late. A new perk of the job! Insert very large smile. Our customers have been buying it right up and have come back with great reviews. I am always looking for wines that can stand on their own as well as compliment food. This fits the bill in spades. While we are not shipping wine yet, if you can find it in your area, you will be very happy if you do. Now a little wine speak and history from the maker.

The 2019 vintage release of the Tamellini Italian Soave is straw yellow, with an intensely fragrant and floral aromatics. Flavors are intense and velvety with a note of almonds with a fragrant and floral nose. Enjoy this wine as an aperitif, pizza margherita with mozzarella and basil, fresh water fish or a delicate pasta or rice dish.

The Tamellini family has been cultivating vineyards for four generations, but it is only in 1998 that the two brothers Gaetano and Pio Francesco decided to found their own winery. They wanted to create something different, more noble, a unique Soave on the market. Since then Gaetano takes care of the growth and production of the vineyards and Pio instead transforms the grapes in the prestigious wine Tamellini. The trust in a wine produced as it was done at the origins in Soave, has created the particularity of our company. The garganega, Soave’s vine, and the non-use of barriques or large barrels has characterized the particularity of our wine right from the start.
