A Sink Full Of Hydrangea

August 24, 2021

While we were bracing for Henri to make a visit, and must say, so very happy he passed us by, we were busy getting the house ready for a major storm. Food prepared for a few days just in case power went out. Candles at the ready. All the basic stuff. So I was so surprised and quite delighted when I walked into the kitchen to the above. TPS had cut a bunch of hydrangea for me to play with. If we were going to weather a hurricane, we might as well do it fully flowered and in style! Luckily, the prep was all for naught. We did get a full day of crazy amounts of rain, which was so lovely to just hunker down and be cocooned in the house. But that big vintage zinc bucket of blooms was the star.
