The First Hyacinth Of The Season

It might be snowy and freezing outside but it is nice and toasty inside with the first of the season hyacinth. Forced bulbs can bring so much sunshine and a glance of spring on the most wintery of days. The grocery store had one of these sitting looking lonely in a plastic pot. It instantly found a new home in a jaunty green bowl topped with moss, brightening up the dining table in no time at all. It has been such a treat this week watching it start to open. The bloom just had to be the Flower Friday star. Have a lovely weekend all!
