And we cooked together too. I made one of my favorite sheet pan meals, chicken with olives & Meyer lemons and rosemary. Everyone got to make shallot vinaigrette, which they got to take home in @weckjars weckjars too. We served it over the most divine greens from @forestgardenfarm We whipped up a mini mint Caprese salad. Along with a toasted baguette and French butter with good sized salt flakes throughout. We headed back to the barn from the farm kitchen to enjoy the fruits of our labor lunch. Such a fun day at @kurtwood_farms

The first table setting I had set up as participants of the class arrived. We were able to talk about all the elements of the table—from layering, to details, to color choices, and tips to making a creative environment. How fun is that set up in the barn. I want to dine at that table and gaze out into the fields! It was such a beautiful space to teach the class. Thanks Kurt for inviting me back this year. Herb bouquets (one of my favorite things ever) from Lisa at @forestgardenfarm ran down the big farm table in the barn for our meet & greet. We started off the day with me getting to ask folks questions. It is such a good way to break the ice, get people to know each other a bit, which relaxes everyone, including me. The first question, which is the one I posed to my blog readers and then had a two page spread in my book with the answers. What is your best party memory? Such an incredibly fun day teaching a class on entertaining at @kurtwood_farms yesterday. Thanks to all who attended! I got to set tables that we then chatted about, we cooked lunch together and played with flowers and chatted and laughed and told stories and ended the day with a flute of Veuve and then got to sign my book for everyone.
