The Rosé Has Arrived

Wine & Dine Wednesday all about our first shipment of rosé of the season. I use the word ‘season’ as many folks only drink it during the Summer months. So that is when I tend to bring the majority of our stock for it in. We actually carry a nice variety throughout the year, as the pink can be a favorite for some even in the coldest of months. I know I have told this story before, but will tell again. Insert big smile. I first had rosé, oh my gosh, probably close to 30 years ago, when I was having dinner with a French manufacturer I was representing at my wholesale showroom. We were dining at Campagne. A majorly beloved Seattle restaurant that is sadly no longer. Jacques ordered the wine for the meal. At the time, there were only a few rosé options on the list. When the bottle arrived, he asked that it be kept on ice at the table. He was from Marseille, and told me that his mother drank the pink throughout the year, always super cold, along with an ice cube in it to keep it cold. I was hooked! Look for more bottles coming our way in the these sunny months.
