One Sensational Dahlia

Flower Friday about how one single bloom can stop you in your tracks and make a lasting impression. My friend, artist Amy Duncan, posted this sensational dahlia the other day and I was smitten. I had not seen this variety yet in any of the flower stalls at the Market this year. It is a favorite dahlia of mine. Each bloom a little work of art with the smattering of red dotted about the petals. Dreamy beyond words. And then one petal will often have a much larger amount of red—I find something absolutely magical about that. Everyone have a lovely last full weekend of August! X, Ted
