Honey Deuce

It is that time of year again! US Open tennis which is always such a treat to watch for the two weeks of the championships. Back in my tennis teaching days, we always went, as I would be in New York City attending the national USTA Convention with seminars & meetings that happened at the same time. Flushing Meadows was such an exciting part of the agenda. The Honey Deuce had not been created quite yet, but since 2007 the cocktail has become the ‘IT’ drink of the tournament with fans. I started making them several years ago. Such a refreshing drink. Plus the addition of two honeydew melon balls atop the libation to mimic tennis balls makes it beyond festive. It is our Wine & Dine Wednesday post. On Thursday:) Which makes it a fun cocktail as we head into Labor Day weekend. Enjoy!
