From Little Hawthorne looking out to the pond and covered bridge which connects the two houses. The Hudson Valley sky looking particularly fetching on this October day. We have had so much fun this stay starting to fill up the guest house and work on a few projects. Lots more to do in the coming months but think the finished results are going to be pretty sweet. I am waiting for beds to be delivered while I type this. At #LittleHawthorne

A vintage McCoy frog with one of the last limelight hydrangea that is still lime-ish, as the rest have all turned a sublime wine shade. Along with a bunch of chicory picked up at the Hudson Farmers’ Market that is standing in as flowers and doing a stellar job, plunked into a vintage clear Pyrex vessel. As well as Seckel pears which are dancing their way down the dining table. A very of the moment tableau. At #HawthorneGhent
