Amaryllis, Paperwhites And A Tree

November 15, 2024

This time of year our dining table in town is in action lots and lots. The busy retail season means a good amount of take-out and cooking simple meals at home after long days. There is just something so very comforting & soothing about supper by candlelight and tree lights. Yes, if you are a shopkeeper, you get to have a tree starting early November. Insert very large grin. Bert’s had loads of paperwhites in terracotta pots as well as a huge variety of amaryllis that instantly made the table festive. I bought one of those waxed amaryllis bulbs weeks ago and it will be fun to watch it grow over the next six weeks. The quince from our friend Sarah still going strong. Thought the tableau had Flower Friday vibes all over it. Everyone have a lovely November weekend. If you are in downtown Seattle, tomorrow, Saturday, stop by our First & Spring shop for our kick-off to the holiday season Open House. Hope to see you there! X, Ted
