Market Shop Snaps

March 11, 2025

I am back to working my beloved Saturdays at our Pike Place Market shop. The day starts with my stroll through the flower stalls to pick up blooms for the week. Then a stop to pick up my lunch for the day and sometimes supper for the car during the ferry crossing to the island. The shop opens at 10, and the day is filled with customers, many of whom have been shopping at Watson Kennedy since we first opened. I love it so much, catching up with folks and talking about their families and work and their travels and things. It is also a day I do a good amount of display work in between customers and ringing people up for purchases and wrapping. This last Saturday, a few vignettes got ‘tightened up’ which means not completely reworked, but spiffed up so it feels fresh. This is a constant for me, and I take great joy and pride in it. No detail goes unnoticed. Here a few snaps of the displays that got a refresh.
