A Mix Of Old & New

Saturday was a full on display day. The sun was shining ever so brightly, making all the green goods even more so yummy than ever. We received a shipment of new Jadeite that created the need for a major refresh of the above vignette. For me, I take everything off the shelves to make a blank canvas. Then the painting begins. Or the puzzle starts. I see it in my head first, then start layering to create a visual story. This collection is a mix of both new and vintage. I find it fun to mix them together, to show how over the years Jadeite has not really changed all that much. It is a true classic. Plus I quite like green with brown. A trio of assembled works by British artist Clare Goddard added to give another layer of visual interest.
