A Tomato Story

For me, one of the best, most creative parts of doing visual display is telling a story through the goods. Often times it is a complete smattering of disparate things that collectively have meaning when together. Other times, I pick a theme, like this vignette, which revolves around tomatoes. A variety of candles, dish towels, jam, bar soap, a diffuser. Then I start layering in things that pulls from the colors of the main theme. A solid red lamp, a striped red lamp shade, red washcloths, a red patterned vintage French set of kitchen tins. While this display is quite small, it is packed with lots of visual interest and loads of thought and meaning.
