Lilacs At The Finish Line

Well, let’s just say we did not have the smoothest travel day yesterday. And let’s also just say that we flew into Newark and leave it at that. Insert large smile. But in the big picture, we made it safe & sound, so that is really all that matters. We got to Hawthorne at 2 this morning or night, depending on how you look at it. These gorgeous lilacs from our yard were waiting for us, cut by caretaker Bill as he knew how much they would mean to us. He was right! We are hitting the very end of lilac season here in our neck of the Hudson Valley woods, so lovely to have a beautiful blooming bundle in honor of Flower Friday to kick off our stay.
