Front Stoop Refresh

Caretaker Bill sent us the above photo of the front stoop at Hawthorne that got a refresh of all sorts of carpentry things along with several coats of fresh paint. The Hudson Valley elements, especially during the Winter along with this Spring which had record breaking rains is tough on so many aspects of an old house. So it is always lovely to get reports of what has been worked on while we are away. We just had a lovely family of 4 from Los Angeles stay for a month. One of the kids was attending classes at Art Omi. I have never shared a review on the daily blog, but this one was so heartfelt, thought I would. We love sharing our beloved home when we are not there.
