Teaching A Class At Kurtwood Farms
August 26, 2025
On Saturday I taught a class on entertaining to the most lovely group of folks at Kurtwood Farms, on our beloved Vashon Island. We chatted party ideas, set tables, played with flowers, cooked together, and enjoyed the fruits of our labor by sharing the meal we all prepared.

Maison Mirabeau graciously gifted me with their ForEver Summer rosé wine, that we enjoyed with our meal, and everyone got to take home a bottle to enjoy too.

The kitchen at Kurtwood Farms absolutely has a very Provençal vibe to it. It is such a magical place to spend time. Kurt’s pooch wanders in & out throughout the day. All the windows open up letting in the island breeze on what was a gloriously sunny and quite warm August day. Pure heaven.

Folks flew in from New York, California and Montana, as well as lots of peeps from all of the Pacific Northwest. It was such a swell day! We ended the day enjoying a glass of rosé along with a Croque Monsieur we all had whipped up while I signed everyone their copy of my latest book.
