Waxed Amaryllis Bulbs

This post about a favorite thing that has become popular over the last bunch of years, but are still catching on, which I think are just the coolest, coolest things—waxed amaryllis bulbs. No watering needed and they are the most extraordinary to watch bloom. It can take several months so patience is very much needed, but oh so worth it. The wax colors can vary. I have seen red and gold primarily, and this year found a source of white ones for the shops. The flowers come in a range of colors from pinks, to white and reds. I just think they are such beautiful natural objects to place around your home. A bit of light is needed and off it goes! We have seen them for sale at garden stores & nurseries, grocery stores with flower sections, and specialty gift shops like Watson Kennedy. One or many, they really are quite something.
