A Single Blooming Lily

Often the first few days of our stay, grocery store flowers are the quickest option. Which I am a big fan of, you just have to weed through lots of blooms that are tired or just not my taste. A bundle of lilies is often a sure bet of flower happiness as the week rolls by. Sometimes they will even last two weeks, if I stay on top of giving all the stems a fresh cut along with refreshing the water every few days. This bunch was super tight when we purchased it, but one stem had started to open just a tad. Watching it unfurl these last few days such a thing of beauty. It was ready for its closeup this morning, on this Flower Friday. Everyone have the loveliest May weekend. XX, T2+H
