Hawthorne Peonies At The Gainsborough

We flew back from New York with a bundle of the tightest bulbed stems and within a few days we were treated to these beauties. A very happy Flower Friday in the Watson Sive household indeed!

Plus a few pinky pinks came back with us too.

This lovely sits in a vintage Baccarat bulbous vase that is one of my very favorite vessels of all-time. It sits in the bookshelf that we see when we come down the entry hall into the living room, so I always like having a stem blooming for us to enjoy. The peony did not disappoint in any way. It has been such a treat to watch it unfold this week.
