A Major Peony Moment

They stopped me in my tracks the moment I spotted them in one of the buckets at the Market in a flower stall brimming with all sorts of other peonies. I look forward to this particular variety of double peony, which I think is called Coral Sunset, every year. The heads were super tight when I bought them. We were treated to one heck of a flower show this week as they began to do their magical dance of opening. Seriously, so good I could weep. During one supper, we were treated to petals beginning to fall off the blooms. It was so beautiful. Watching the petals scatter about the table while the candles flickered about.
