Dining Table As Staging Area
July 7, 2026
During the warm and sunny months, we really live outside on the deck when out on the island. The long zinc dining table gets moved outside with the Adirondack chairs and umbrellas. The French doors stay open from the moment we wake until our heads hit the pillow at night. We move a smaller dining table from storage into the kitchen area. We rarely use it to dine on during these months, but rather as a staging area for cooking, setting tables and overall grazing for the day. Our goal to keep it looking organized & artful, instead of a mass of ‘stuff’ cluttering things up. The idea for this post really to spark the idea of creating an area if you set the things you use every day or most days and have them at your fingertips. It is highly efficient and also creative/fun to see the things you use daily out in the open, ready to be enjoyed.
