Ted’s Tip No. 584

Outside containers for plants don’t always have to be terracotta. Vintage buckets and pails work great, adding a bit of extra visual interest. Add holes to the bottom for drainage and you are off and running. My tip for adding holes, use a Phillips head screwdriver and lightly hammer it on the bottom of the turned over vessel in several spots so water flows freely out.
