My Favorite Things Today
May 4, 2012I realized when I looked through the past posts that I did not do a ‘My Favorite Things Today’ last month. Where did April go? So I thought I would add a few more to make up for missing last month. I love walking around and seeing what catches my eye. Some old, some new–all things I think you will like.
I featured this Marvis cinnamon toothpaste from Italy quite awhile back, but then we sold right through it, and the importer had challenges getting more back into the country, so we were out for at least 6 months. It is back!
Of course, these Veuve Clicquot glasses make me swoon.
We found this vintage Limoges piece on a Napa trip. The oversized champagne cork has an opening on the top, so this could hold pencils on a desk or just look stellar bare.
Hand painted botanicals from Paxton’s Botany circa 1838. The coloring & detail on these are so lovely.
We found this painting on our Charleston/Savannah trip last year. There is just something so very knowing about her expression that makes me like this piece.
Each contains the 2 CD’s of the opera, as well as the book including the libretto with annotations. I think these are amazing gifts for $20.
I have a thing for vintage champagne buckets. They have become much harder to find, so I snatch them up whenever I can.
Ditto for vintage match strikers.
Belgian milk chocolate is hard to beat. We carry this in dark chocolate too.
A new Denise Fiedler singing bird next to my favorite new votive holder.
And lastly, French linen water. We always have a bottle of this going in our laundry closet. A few sprays onto clothing or linens while you are ironing them, a good misting over your bed to freshen it up, as well as a room spray in a pinch–just a few usages for this very useful water.
