Curbside Service & Daily Website Additions & Shop Hours Update

March 13, 2020

I was interviewed the other day by New York magazine who is doing a story about how retail has been affected around the country, with Seattle being close to the top of the list. I tried to remain incredibly optimistic in all my answers (if you have followed along for any amount of time, you know that is how I roll) but the day after I e-mailed the reporter back and said I am afraid I did not paint the picture properly. What I wanted coming across was we are and will do everything possible to make this all work. That said, in the 21 years since opening up the shops, I have never seen or experienced anything like this. Weathering the effects of 9.11, the dotcom bubble bursting, and the 2008 financial crisis–this is leaps & bounds beyond. But this is where creativity and my fighting spirit kick into overdrive. If folks are having a tough time making it to us, we will try even harder to bring it all to you. We have always offered {Curbside Service} but not everyone knows or takes advantage of it. Just give us call and we can have all of your packages spiffily wrapped up and brought right out to your car. We are updating our new website daily, so check back often for treasures to give your day a boost. We are also offering complimentary shipping on orders over $100–we are shipping each and every day. We will be shortening shop hours to 11 to 5:30 during the week. Check the WK website for weekend hours as each shop varies. I wrote yesterday on an Instagram post how we are all in this together and that we will all get through this together. To our beyond fabulously loyal customers, I want to thank you from the bottom right up to the top of my heart for all the love & support you have shown over the years and these past few weeks. Sending you all a virtual hug, Ted
