Rows Of Peony

June 25, 2021

Flower Friday all about the rows of peony that graced our Sunday supper table last weekend. These were ‘bonus’ blooms as they had lasted longer than a week so when we got to the house on Saturday eve, I was happily surprised to see they were still going strong. Once I moved them outside to the dining table and the sun came around, petals began to fall. I find that whole dance incredibly poetic. As we dined an occasional petal would fall. Truly beautiful. This upcoming heat wave sure to do the remaining peony that are still going in, but I will savor the memory of them this year as the blooms that welcomed guests back around our beloved table. Stay cool everyone. X, TKW
