A Limelight Hawthorne Return

The heavy rains this past month along with all this heat of late were a winning combination for the limelight hydrangea in front of the house. They have never looked better! The moment we departed the plane we were instantly greeting with the humidity that reminds us both so much of our youth. 95 in New York feels very different than 95 in Seattle. The drive up to the Hudson Valley sublime. The house greeted us with open arms. A bit of rest and the finish line of my next book is on the menu. Along with lots of tomato sandwiches and listening to all the sounds we so associate with being here.
