A Tradition Continues

November 2, 2023

If you have been following along for any amount of time, you will have picked up on our love of tradition. Be it a Sunday supper or Friday night pizza & martinis, to name but a few. The shops Holiday Open Houses to kick-off the season a tradition we started right out the gate 25 years ago. Once we started showing the divine works of Jeanne McKay Hartmann now many years ago, we started a tradition of her painting a limited edition piece at the Home store Open House. We have customers who have bought one every year since. Oh my, the melding of a collection and a tradition, my head is spinning with glee! Which leads me to now—Jeanne will once again be painting these happy, happy pieces at our upcoming event. This year is extra special as the roses on this piece commemorate the incredibly beautiful windows she painted for me awhile back that were stunning in every way that folks absolutely loved.

Here are the details. The Open House is Saturday November 11th at our First & Spring shop from 10 to 5. Jeanne will be painting from 1 to 3 that day. Because of the quite large demand for these, we take pre-orders. We are happy to ship these like we always have, so you don’t have to come to the event to get one or many of these gems. Cost is $85 per painting. There are two options. Either the tree in a Champagne bucket or topiary in a handled trophy. You can choose to have one initial or two for the monogram. Or no monogram at all. These make spectacular gifts! Either to give, or keep, or both. Insert large smile. Text or call me directly at 206.617.9678 and I will take your order. Orders will be taken until November 11th. Cheers to tradition!

{Ted’s Tip} These fit beautifully in a cool picture frame making it an easy way to make it an extra stylish original piece of art gift.
