Tulips, Carnations and a Hyacinth

February 9, 2024

For my Breakfast As Lunch the other day with our friend Catherine, a bundle of white tulips from the Market, some carnations that were a gift and a potted hyacinth from the grocery store on the island were our flowery visual entertainment as we enjoyed our meal and our time together. Thought the trio should be the Flower Friday submission on this day. I often like one type of bloom grouped together with a differing variety of blooms set next to one another to make a tableau. I think you notice each different flower more that way. It was mid-day, but I still like lots of candlelight. The flickering flames add a bit of festiveness as well as coziness to the table which translates to the meal and time together. Happy weekend before Valentine’s Day everyone! X, Ted
