Ted’s Tip No. 21

20141201-072018.jpg Leftover pieces of baguette make for wonderful oversized croutons for the top of soups or just for snacking. Cut into inch pieces, lay them on a baking sheet or dish, sprinkle with extra virgin olive oil and a good amount of fresh ground pepper. Put into a 350 degree oven until browned. If you are feeling especially feisty, add a sprinkling of fresh Parmesan cheese right as they come out of the oven.
