Pumpkins Here, Pumpkins There

October 21, 2021

This time of year pumpkins are everywhere you look when you are driving around the Hudson Valley. I love it! Houses, farms stands, stores—all brimming with pumpkins. I associate them more with the season than with Halloween, which has never been a favorite holiday. More of a pumpkins right on up to Thanksgiving sort of guy. So when my husband asks me to pick out a pumpkin for him to carve, I am all over it. Found a beauty at a farm stand on our way back from Hudson. His Hermès-y H standing for Hawthorne. It lights up the back porch on these chilly eves. Below, Goodwin Brothers Farm in Rhode Island, that I saw posted that absolutely stole my heart. How incredibly clever and so visual. Cheers to pumpkins!
