Madras Patchwork & Fig

This is the Summer I majorly fell in love with patchwork madras. Several shirts got added to the collection, but my best find was this tablecloth. I am now on the hunt for them for WK as over the moon for this one. It just had to be our Wine & Dine Wednesday post this week. I set a quick table out on the island last night as the chèvre stuffed chicken breast roasted away in the oven. A potted fig that makes me deliriously happy that first lived at one of the shops that came to live at WestWard this season to get looooots of sun and more than doubled in size got plunked down on top of a blue splatter plate that was used as a charger underneath. Then a bunch of blue favorites got added together along with French bamboo flatware & pepper mill and knotted napkin ring to add a bit of texture and earthiness to the table. Within a few minutes I was back in basting the bird. There was a slight crispness in the air as we dined outside as I somewhat ignored as not nearly ready to let this season slip away…
