Happy Hydrangea

August 19, 2022

On this Flower Friday I titled this post ‘Happy Hydrangea’ as you can tell I am quite happy about these hydrangea! A gift from one of our artists we show, Theresa Stirling. The gift of blooms from your yard or garden is never to be underestimated. They can bring huge amounts of joy to the recipient. In this case, all of our customers got to enjoy them too. Happy August almost week-end all. X, TKW

A Summer Rosé Tasting

August 17, 2022

Wine & Dine Wednesday about such an easy and quite fun entertaining idea. A sunny August day can just beg for a rosé tasting. It is a stylish way to welcome guests to your supper or party. Fill up a big container with ice. To that add cold water. This combo will keep your wine nice and chilled for many hours. Put out a variety of bottles, an opener, wine glasses along with a bowl of pistachios and another bowl for the shells. They can be the activity while folks pour themselves a glass and start chatting. Then sit back and enjoy your guests. Cheers!

August Sunday Supper

August 16, 2022

Our friend Erika invited us over in town to clip a bunch of her beautiful hydrangea. I am spacing on the variety name at this early morning moment, but they have a lovely lilac vibe to them as well. They were the inspiration for the blue Sunday Supper table. This was a group gathering that was planned for August of 2020. So it was fun to all gather now after a long wait! Herb bouquets were the centerpieces for the table and lots of blue. Mark Sikes splatterware plates, a variety of striped linen napkins and an old French tablecloth that just gets better and better with age. Much like all of us! Mister Sive made a big pan of paella and we were off and running telling stories and laughing and enjoying the late Summer sunshine as it danced about the trees.

Ted’s Tip No. 405

August 15, 2022

This time of year when herbs are going wild, round them up and make herb bouquets. Either big bunches of one type or a mix of all. They are perfect gracing an alfresco table and make swell gifts as your guests depart.
